La enseñanza en España y en Europa en el paso del siglo XV al XVI no estaba explícitamente organizada en tres fases sucesivas, pero podemos referirnos a algo similar. El estudio de estas diferentes etapas de la enseñanza en Sevilla durante aquella época es la base del presente libro.

This book aims at scaffolding language teachers, pre-service language teachers, and undergraduate students in the process of teaching and material design by helping them to become informed decision-makers in this endeavour. It also aims at leading foreign language teachers to reflect critically on some key concerns in our field as well as on their own beliefs, and to act consistently with that critical reflection to introduce, little by little, changes in daily practices that can ultimately transform students’ thinking. The book proposes that self-effectiveness in the university professor is nothing else but the confidence that the teaching personnel have in their own capacity to help students to learn. This confidence can make a difference in teaching as well as in the use of didactic strategies to increase quality learning at the university level. The book also addresses the concept of a collective self effectiveness. Joining efforts and feeling part of a common project is needed in order to advance successfully at the university leve.
