La obra de Jose Delitala y Castelvi, escrito en castellano puro en 1672, pretende ser complemento de la de Francisco de Quevedo. Tiene como finalidad terminar las musas de este autor, en la que faltaban las tres ultimas musas castellanas. La obra se divide en tres partes, con arreglo a las tres musas: Caliope, Urania, y Euterpe. Es en su totalidad una obra poetica donde predomina una gran variedad estrofica con multitud de temas y de generos poeticos. Su poesia da una interpretacion providencialista de la historia espanola y los temas hispanicos ocupan en ella un lugar providencialista."
