Obra cumbre de la escritora noruega Sigrid Undset (1882-1949), Cristina, hija de Lavrans está considerada la mejor novela histórica del siglo XX. Narra la vida de Cristina, una joven inmersa en un mundo de pasiones y desesperanzas. Ambientada en la Noruega del siglo XIV, la obra recoge a través de un variado elenco de personajes un paisaje donde la fe aún convive con los restos de las costumbres paganas. Sigrid Undset recibió el Premio Nobel de Literatura en 1928.

«Sombras sin sueño» (1953) es la recopilación de tres obras de teatro de Graciela Saralegui: «La muerte y la luna», «Drama del amanecer» y «Tragedia de un solo sueño», este último ganó la Flor Natural del Concurso Hispanoamericano de Poesías de Ecuador en 1953.
