El que se mueve no sale en la foto

Resumen del Libro

First catalogue of photographs dedicated to the collection of panoramic group photographic portraits produced by Aurelio Escobar Castellanos during the post-Revolution decades (1927-1969) in Mexico. Escobar was one of the many anonymous photographers who documented with his camera different episodes of the Mexican Revolution and later years. One of the reasons his photographic production has been largely ignored could be that he signed his photographs with the legend "H.J. Gutierrez", the name of the studio of Heliodoro Gutierrez Escobar, nephew of the photographer. The book brings together close to 70 black and white photographs in 360̊ large panoramic format (20 x 200 cm), a technique in which Escobar was a pioneer in Mexico. A large part of the collection is now under the custody of the National General Archive (AGN) who is restoring, digitalizing and cataloguing the collection.
