Estudio que examina los cambios que introdujo el peronismo en el ordenamiento doméstico desde una perspectiva aún no explorada: las dinámicas familiares situadas al margen del modelo normativo, en especial la filiación ilegítima; es decir, relaciones familiares reñidas con el modelo homogéneo y excluyente del matrimonio con hijos. Basándose en discursos, artículos de prensa, correspondencia y películas, la autora recorre las diferentes formas de organización familiar e investiga los estigmas asociados a los nacimientos "irregulares".
