En el presente volumen continuamos la edición de las sonatas para violín y bajo de Cayetano Brunetti. Se publica, en concreto, la primera parte de la colección de sonatas que Brunetti hizo expresamente para uso del Príncipe de Asturias (futuro Carlos IV). Aunque la colección consistía en veinticuatro sonatas, lamentablemente se han perdido dos de ellas (la VI y la XXIII), llegando hasta nosotros veintidós. Se han conservado tanto partituras autógrafas de Brunetti (doce) como partituras copiadas por Francisco Mencía (veintidós), un copista que trabajó para el cuarto del príncipe....
