Resumen del Libro

Libro Hacia nuevos dispositivos

A Compilation of 30 Innovative Architectonic Inventions in Catalonia. The architecture produced in Catalonia has often been in the vanguard of Europe, especially since Barcelona hosted the 1992 Olympics. The products solve specific program requirements, new social demands, environmental needs, budget limitations and design aspirations to improve on the status quo. They are proving grounds of...

Frank Lloyd Wright

Libro Frank Lloyd Wright

Ask Americans to think of a famous architect and the person they are most likely to name is Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright's work, his reputation, and his long and colorful career have made him an icon of modern American architecture. But despite his status as America's most celebrated architect, his influence throughout an active practice spanning the years 1896 to 1959 is so wide and complex that it has been difficult to grasp fully. The essays in this book look not at the United States, the context usually associated with Wright, but at countries around the globe. Anthony Alofsin has assembled ...

Fernando González Gortázar

Libro Fernando González Gortázar

The present research work is based on original manuscripts and testimonies from architect González Gortázar (b. Mexico) regarding his transcendent architecture and urban designs. González Gortázar is considered at present one of the most important architects of México, creator of spaces and urban art that are now geometric symbols and references of the city of Guadalajara in México. The architect strongly practices the concept of "Space and Art" and where the city should never loose their social function for which it was originally conceived and constructed.
