Este estudio proyecta una renovadora mirada sobre la produccion cuentistica del escritor mexicano. Al explorar en las distintas aristas de su universo ficcional, narrativo y, en suma, artistico-literario y, sobre todo, al imbricar la articulacion textual del cuento en el marco de la cronica y de los moldes escriturales periodisticos, satisface el doble objetivo de reafirmar la singularidad del relato najeriano y de circunscribir el lugar que ocupa este en una fase inicial del modernismo hispanoamericano."
