Resumen del Libro

ADN, la agencia de detectives en la que trabaja Suso Espada, decide enviarlo a Estambul para investigar la desaparición de una mujer de origen español, encarcelada desde hace años en una prisión turca. Suso se dará cuenta del misterio y de los peligros que envuelven esta desaparición, circunstancias agravadas por el hecho de tener que desarrollar su investigación en una sociedad compleja y en una cultura para él desconocida. Con todo, de la mano de Tamar, la intérprete que lo acompaña, y de Nihat, el chófer del consulado español, llegará a intuir la complejidad de la trama que dificulta el avance en las indagaciones y también a comprender la importancia de la ciudad de Estambul en la historia de la humanidad. Fracasada la investigación y de regreso, comprobará que, a veces, es necesario dejar que las cosas sucedan por sí mismas y que, en ocasiones, las respuestas que buscamos las tenemos a nuestro lado, mucho más cerca de lo que sospechábamos.
