José Martí (La Habana, 1853-Dos Ríos, 1898), Cuba. Era hijo de Mariano Martí Navarro, valenciano, y Leonor Pérez Cabrera, de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Martí empezó su formación en El Colegio de San Anacleto, y luego estudió en la Escuela Municipal de Varones.
