Es un atractivo y original estudio que se centra en uno de los aspectos menos conocido y más sugerente de la célebre escuela alemana de la Bauhaus (1919-1933): su alumnado femenino. El libro abarca desde la situación curiosa y paradójica de este colectivo, hasta la producción fotográfica singular, una vez alcanzada la notoriedad, de artistas de la talla de Gertrud Arndt, Florence Henri, Lucia Moholy, Grete Stern o Marianne Brandt.
