Detailed documentary of the Asociación de Fotógrafos Independientes that was created officially on June 19, 1981 with the signature of 29 Chilean independent photographers and ended in a symbolic act in mid-1993. The diverse and bountiful production of the collective under intense censorship and repression of the military regime was an incredible feat. The photography documented the social protest, repression, marginality, as well as the artistic material. Biographies of each of the photographers with their work and a chronology puts the work in historical context. This book is the first to document the photographers and their work.
