Este conjunto de ensayos de diferentes autores realiza una revisión histórico-crítica de los autores más conocidos de la poesía mexicana de los siglos XIX y XX. Este volumen divide en tres grandes momentos la tradición poética mexicana después del vanguardismo: neorromanticismo, posmodernismo y anfiguardismo; en él se incluyen colaboraciones de Heriberto Yépez, José Homero, Víctor Manuel Mendiola y Gloria Vergara.
