Esta tercera edición actualizada y revisada es un análisis pormenorizadamente de cómo los judíos fueron en España una minoría religiosa, no étnica, instalada en su suelo, en yuxtaposición a la sociedad cristiana que se consideraba la única legítima. El judaísmo era por tanto una microsociedad paralela a la macrosociedad cristiana.
