Compilación que recoge testimonios de varios de los actores y observadores del sitio de Querétaro, suceso que se desarrolló del 9 de marzo al 15 de mayo de 1867 y apuntaló la caída del Imperio de Maximiliano, de cuyo proceso se presenta un memorándum redactado por miembros del bando republicano. Reúne documentos escritos por los oficiales Mariano Esobedo, Sóstenes Rocha (ambos liberales) y Alberto Hans (imperialista); Samuel Basch, médico de Maximiliano, y la princesa de Salm-Salm, figura próxima a la corte.

The main body of the book is the facsimile and transcription of the collection of themanuscript and typed letters and telegraphs mailed between artist Frida Kahlo and doctor LeoEloesser, and enriched with contributions written by experts in art and medicine such as CarlosMonsivais, Teresa del Conde, Juan Pascoe, and others.
