Resumen del Libro

Diego Valverde Villena (Lima, 1967). Magíster en Literatura Inglesa y licenciado en Filología Hispánica, Filología Inglesa y Filología Alemana. Ha realizado estudios de doctorado en las universidades de Oxford, Heidelberg, Tubinga, Chicago y Complutense de Madrid. Profesor de literatura en la Universidad Mayor de San Andrés y profesor visitante en universidades europeas y americanas. Sus ensayos recorren la literatura universal, con especial dedicación a la literatura hispanoamericana. Sobre Álvaro Mutis ha publicado Varado entre murallas y gaviotas. Seis entradas en la bitácora de Maqroll el Gaviero (2011), Para Catalina Micaela: Álvaro Mutis, más allá del tiempo (1997) y numerosos artículos en revistas españolas e hispanoamericanas. Ha llevado a cabo la edición de la antología La voz de Álvaro Mutis (2001), y ha impartido cursos y seminarios sobre Álvaro Mutis en varias universidades.
